Default Hesitation with a newly installed XCT400PDS controller

I just bought a xct400PDS controller/solenoid off of scottyB and installed it in my pre2001 EZGO PDS 36volt cart. When I push on the gas pedal the cart doesn't move right away ( maybe a second or 2 hesitation) I'm not sure if this is normal or a setting that I can change in the programming (Does it in turf or street modes) or if it's maybe something with the stock motor. Didn't seem to do this (that I can remember at least) with the old stock controller.
Is there anyone else using this controller that is experiencing this?

Did you try increasing the throttle ramp rate yet?

My SR48500 did this as well. I think the controller just takes a little longer to start up then the factory controller. I got used to it.

I haven't tried that yet, I'm going to mess with it some this weekend if the weather isn't to bad. I'm honestly thinking that this may be normal with this controller or maybe it's caused by the stock motor. I'll let you know if I figure anything out when I mess with it this weekend.

Take notice if the solenoid is slow to click or if the solenoid clicks and then the pedal has to move down much more before the cart moves.
Do this and report back to me BEFORE you start messing with the settings

That's what I'm kinda thinking also but wanted to see if it was the same for other people. I'm going to play with some settings to see if I can't make it any better.

Well, if you are gonna throw caution to the wind, at least save (or write down) the original values of stuff before you change it. That way if you make it worse, you can go back to where you started.

I was talking with Alltrax tech and asked about your hesitation problem, I got this response, hope it helps

The hesitation on start we believe is a problem with how the linearized throttle position is set, if someone gets that have them pull up the toolkit, make sure they can see linearized throttle position (a check box in the tools à options window will let you see it if they can’t already). We want to check the Big double sided arrow in the top left corner, if you hover your mouse over it you should see a number pop up. If it’s a high number drop it to 5% if it’s already at 5% drop it to 1% and see if that helps.
