only have reverse

HI to all I have just rewired my cart and I've obviously done something backwards as my cart will only go in reverse even though forward is selected.
I have a PSD TXT. can anyone help have a golf game coming up and really want the cart.

I can't hep with PDS, but for those can, what does it do when you select reverse? If it goes forward when reverse is selected, it's an easy fix.

You may have fried the controller. Try swapping the F&R wires to see if forward still works. There are 3 wires on the F&R toggle switch, swap the top and bottom wires leaving the middle one alone.

Question for ScottyB. If it only goes in reverse, can he swap wires on the motor to make it only go forward, with no reverse?

Yes he can. Flip the Tow/Run Switch to TOW first. Swap the black and white wires on the top of the controller, will do that. But he needs to do what Scotty said, to see if it's the switch, or the controller. It could be the switch, but i don't think so. Usually the controller in the problem

While not ideal, my son's truck lost reverse, so he learned to park where he could either go forward, or park uphill or flat, so he could roll or push reverse.

We almost got in trouble once, when trying to park behind a restaurant, only to find it didn't loop around back to the front. One person would have been in trouble, but the two of us got it. The first time reverse died, he had two friends, so I came and the four of us had to pick up the rear end and spin it around on a one lane dead-end gravel road.

Buddy had a Rambler like that in high school. Push button shifter worked sometimes, sometimes not - it was fun

Neighbor ran his DCS for a year with forward only before replacing the control. It works.

Couldn't he use a series FNR to have both F and R?
