Default 2014 2Five Charger Question

Hi, I have a 2014 2Five that I purchased new last year as a leftover. The cart had 4 12V US batteries and due to sitting at the dealer the batteries were not in the best health. Over the winter we had a new set of batteries put in the cart but had 6 8V Trojan 875 put in at the shops recommendation. Since the cart was returned we have been having issues with the batteries charging or holding a long charge that we did not expect. Last week during the charge the LED light started blinking 6 times. Note this happens about during the process not in the first 30-60 minutes. We took the cart to the local shop dealer and they stated the batteries look fine but looking at the charger they cannot get it over approximately 38V so they feel it is the charger. Note the closed EZGO dealer is 2 hours away.

1) Could the battery change be associated with the charger issues, or something I should be have reviewed on the cart.

2) Can anyone provide a recommendation to rebuild / repair the Delta Q 922-4852-E6B? We looked into a new one and was shocked over the cost.

3) Is there anyway to charge the cart while the charger issues are being corrected? Or is there a way to set up a way to charge not using the internal charger permanently.

Thank you in advance,

Kevin

That's all well and good for taking care of the 48V batteries, but the onboard charger in the 2Five also contains a high current 48V to 12V reducer to power all of the 12V loads. The onboard charger should be under warranty, get it replaced if it is. The DPI charger can be used as suggested by teecro, and you can buy a decent 48V to 12V reducer from cartsunlimited as well. Having those 2 items will replace the factory onboard charger, and serve as a spare for when you have trouble again with it.

Thank you Bob. I will look into the back-up. As it relates to the warranty I do not believe it is under warranty. I purchased the cart new (2 miles on it) but found out about 30 days after I purchased the dealer titled the car when he received so the warranty started ticking back in 2014. EZGO did help me and was great about the batteries as the corp office gave me a list of dealers in my area. I will look into the charger and 12 V you mentioned. Thank You again.
