Default ezgo DCS resistor chip values

On the schematic for an Ezgo DCS cart there shows a resistor and diode across the high current terminals of the solonoid. Does anyone know the values of those componets? The two diodes have SKU750 and MR751 markings on them. I found an MR751 diode listed on Ebay with a 100 volt, 6 amp value.
The resistor measures 254 ohms, after I unsoldered one leg and ohmed it out. I'm not sure if this is the original value. I researched past postings and couldn't find the values, just hoping the collective wisdom may have the answer.
I have seen two 1996 DCS carts in the last month with no resistor "chip" across the solonoid terminals. Neither owner mentioned any associated problems. Just wondering if the resistor/diode circuit is absolutely mecessary.

Yes they are needed.
The board can be replaced with a simple 250Ω pre-charge resistor on the big posts and a 3a diode on the small terminals.

Scotty, thanks for the reply. What wattage on that resistor? Do you stock those components?

I believe 3W & 5W resistors will serve just fine as well, but you can't go wrong with the 10W .

We use the 10w so one size fits all
