Default Reverse noise, how to diminish it? 2005 PDS

What makes the report/safety noise when you put it in reverse. I would like to make the noise less. It is somewhat loud for use in my yard. Is it in an opening where I can put a lid over it so it is not as loud. I do not want to rid of it - just diminish the sound level some.

Use one of the little squishy ear plugs. Buzzer should be behind the key switch, on the passenger side glove box inside wall...

I stuffed a foam ear plug in the hole in mine and then taped over it with a pc. of duct tape, much better now

By the way, it is right behind the key switch panel on the PDS carts.

Mike,
I wonder what it would do to the buzzer if you stuffed it full of that Mighty Putty stuff that Billy Mays sells on TV ? You can get that stuff at Walgreens along with about everything else "as seen on TV"

The only problem with that is that if you ever decided to remove it, OXY CLEAN is the only thing that will remove it.

So with ear plug in hand I go out to look at it and that plate has push in plastic rivets. Any tricks to getting them out? I'll probably use screws to hold it back in once done.

I've been able to reach stuff under the cowl by pulling down the splash guard under the front edge..
