Will Post Traction help in this situation?
Now, I currently have an EZ-GO limited slip in my hunting cart. It's been "in there" for 9 years now and I believe it's near the end of it's life. Why? 'Cause it does not always engage like it use to....when it's suppose to. Hey....mechanical stuff just plain wears out. A Plowman's is on the horizon.
So, I was fishing last week and during my stream "fording" back the cart rear axle got hung up on a rock in the stream. Yeah....I was about 3/4 of the way across the stream. Not a big stream, nor a deep one.....but a stream non the less. So, the passenger wheel was "up" because as I pressed the "go" peddle the passenger drive wheel would do a pretty impressive job of sloshing tubs of water out the back!! The drivers side wheel\tire did absolutely nothing....NADA...ZIP. A simple "hey...pull the winch wire around that tree" and pull it off the rock solved everything......but I'm curious that if I had a Plowman's in the rearend, would the driver's side rear wheel had power to it and "driven" the cart off of the hung up rock? |

I know nothing about posi-traction, but is there a way to "rebuild" yours? Or are you just looking for an excuse to upgrade?

A locker would definitely gotten you over it and a limited slip should have. Yours may just be worn out. Just as a note I have been told the carrier in an RXV rear is a factory limited slip so if you could find a used one after a simple ring gear change the carrier will bolt right in..

Electric rxv is Posi from the factory, and I have used it in tons of stuff, from marathons, to gas Yamahas.

Not if yours quit and can't be rebuilt.
