Default Enclosure

Hi!

Does anyone know of a specific brand which would accommodate an 80" top, four seater that has a six inch lift and bigger tires? I've been looking online and haven't had the luck with specifics.

Thanks in advance!

Check with https://classicaccessories.com/golf
Nice quality at a good price. They sell direct and on Amazon.

Here is the one I got from them on Amazon. The amount of lift does not matter. The cover fits the body and frame.

Really like San Antonio. Spent 4 mos. back in the 70's at Randolf AFB. Funny, I am watching a show called Barnwood Builders doing a show in New Braunfels. Got to enjoy the Wurstfest there.

Thanks for the recommendation. I was looking at all of the enclosures online and was overwhelmed!

I've been in San Antonio for 18 years now. It's probably changed a lot since you were here, but it's still a beautiful city. Very family oriented. That is funny about the bar wood builders show, I've seen many episodes, but haven't seen that one...yet!

Thanks again and have a great day!

The first enclosure I had was from Formosa and it only lasted a year. I leave my cart out in the hot sun from April - Oct. The second one I got was the one I linked from Classic Accessories. The zippers are very good quality. The nice thing is that you can roll up all the sides and windshield if you want. The only negative was that after the first summer the cover went from a tan to a kind of flesh tone. I sent a picture to CA and they sent me a new enclosure. The original last 4 years. I just put on the free replacement on this spring.

I also have an enclosure for the front of my houseboat that stays on 24/365. It is made from Sunbrella fabric and a heavy duty clear vinyl. If you plan on keeping the cart for a long period it might be worth going with a more expensive Sunbrella fabric. It will last a very long time. Some vendors offer these. Another option is to take your cart to a shop that does boat canvass. They can make you a custom enclosure that hangs from rails under the roof that you can snap on and off.

You don't have to go to a shop. If you find the material, you said San Anton was family oriented, find a little old lady that does sewing. I have a friend that got his seat covers done that way. Back in WWI and WWII, people didn't throw away sofas (because they didn't match their new curtains). They reupholstered them. Lotsa dying talent out there.

Sorry but we are talking about a totally different animal here. Sunbrella is not like an upholstery fabric like you would put on a cushion. It is very stiff and thick and most sewing machines cannot handle it. Plus you have to sew the thick clear vinyl to it and add snaps and zippers. You need someone experienced and with the proper equipment to do this using the proper UV resistant thread.

Is it any worse than new seat covers? Just curious. I promise my Granny could do it, by hand.

Yurtle, you provide lots of very informed posts on this forum, but regarding this subject you are totally out of your element. If you have never dealt with enclosures or their assembly you are not adding any positive information here.

Thanks guys! I bought a Classic Accessories enclosure last night. Got a great deal on a gently used one. Should work out wonderfully!

Yurtle, I live in San Antonio. Most of the little old ladies around here are incredibly sweet but don't speak English, if you catch my drift...
