Default what new pedal to buy??

It is a 1987 EZ-GO shuttle. Serial #: 956 59571187 but it is upgraded to 48 volts with the Alltrax controller and everything else brand new except the gas pedal. Wiring diagrams are apparently no where for this thing. I don't have the time to wait and my patience is getting thin. I am guessing that a new pedal is the only way that I am going to be able to figure out how to wire this thing. Do I have to buy a certain type/style of pedal or what? Seems like there are different technologies

what type you need to buy will depend on what the controller you bought is set up for...

either a ITS (Inductive Throttle Sensor) or a 0-5k ohms potentiometers what is it set up for??

Originally this cart's pedal was connected to a potentiometer 0-5k. Your new controller is programmed for this signal.
I'm not certain what the trouble is.

I bought the Alltrax SR48400 from Scottie. I believe it going to be the 0-5k ohms potentiometer style

The trouble is I cannot read the diagram on how to hook this pedal up. Everything is hooked up and ready, except the pedal. I just have wires ran to the pedal waiting for a home but because the Alltrax diagram has 4 wires to the pedal and my actual pedal has 5 wires coming out of it. I am afraid to just try random wire connections so everything has been on hold since last Saturday afternoon. There are two terminals on the back of the pedal itself and three thing (maybe 22 gauge) wires coming out.

It there is a wiring issue outside of the pedal I am certain I can figure it out, but I will not know one way or the other until I get this pedal hooked up or replaced. I am assuming that new pedals in this style will only have 4 wires since that is what the Alltrax diagram shows

I doubt you need a new pedal or if a new pedal has less wires - see the other thread and let this one die......

I have searched the internet and not found anything pedal diagrams showing 5 wires like my pedal has, but found many showing the 4 wires that I have already ran to the pedal. So my thinking is that my pedal is just so old that maybe it isn't compatible or something, that or at least a new pedal would come with a diagram. I would just really, really like to get this running asap before 18 members of the family come down over the next 2 weeks and we have 100 people at our party. My wife is gonna kick my a$$ if I have this golf cart strewn about the driveway during all this
