2000 TXT PDS won't go fwd or rev

I have a 2000 TXT PDS that just quit. Won’t go forward or reverse, and the solenoid clicks when you depress the accelerator, followed by an “unclick” a second later. I confirmed that the solenoid is closing, but just for a second. It opens after a second, even if you’re still holding the pedal down. Just read 52 pages of this forum hoping to find someone else with the same problem: I had been running it with the back up alarm disconnected, so I reconnected it for diagnostics. The alarm now comes on in both forward and reverse (?) and will remain on whenever the key switch is on unless in neutral or the tow/maint switch is off. When I enter diagnostic mode it beeps 4 times, then nothing. I do have 37.5v charged Trojans.

2000 PDS was a 1 yr transitional system. Simply try to see which side (+ or -) of the solenoid activation is dropping out on the small terminals when the solenoid unlatches on it's own.

Neg side (blue wire) drops out

Correct me if I'm wrong but, the controller provides the negative side. You can wire this side to the controller B- to bypass the failed function.
