Default Ez-Go TXT and Double Take Titan Body fit issues.

Has anyone else installed a Titan body from Doubletake on the EZGO? I finally finished all the wiring today, and started to install the body. I am not happy at all. Where the front of the rear body meets the side trim, there is a huge gap. I know it's the right body because all the rivet holes and the holes to bolt the seat back bracket line up. But there is a easy quarter to half inch gap from the boot Tom of the body panel to the top of the side trim. It's a big enough gap that a 2GA cable fits out it easily. Anyone else ever had a fitting issue?

Can you post a pic of where you are taking about? I just finished installing mine and it doesn't have any odd gaps.

I didn't get to take a picture I forgot, but using your photo ARKSoft I marked the location. I put the side trim on last night and it took up a big portion of the gap. The problem is I bought a diamond plate kit for the cart and you have to remove the trim to install it. I still have the old body at my house, im going to set it back on tonight and see how it looks. This DoubleTake body is very short in the area I marked, easily a half inch or more without that side trim. In addition the flimsiness of the body where that same spot ends at the backend of the frame, it just flops and isn't very sturdy there.

The original body in that spot has 2 ears of plastic that come down and get riveted on. This body has a metal bracket that is bolted onto the body and then the bracket gets riveted onto the frame. I didn't necessarily care for this. I liked how The side that you marked on mine looks. Not necessarily how the other side looks. I don't have gaps on either side. However, the Diamond plate trim you are talking about it sticks out from the body a good 1/2 of an inch to create its box like stance. I don't see how there would be a problem here. When you put the body on, its not standing on top of the rubber floor mat is it? The rubber floor mat has to be taken off then pop-rivet the body on, and then put the floor mat back on and then pop-rivet the side panels on. (I learned this the hard way as I pop riveted the side panels on and now my rubber floor mat is laying on top of them instead of under them.)

I appreciate the response. No it's under the floor mat. I received no hardware at all with this body other than lights and a harness. I'll post pics tonight so you can see when I get out of class.

So after talking to Cutom Inc (makers of DoubleTake, they never sent the accessory bag with the rivets and body clips in it. As well I called the people I got the diamond plate kit from. Itbdidnt come with directions. Evidently after you install the two bolts the bolt the diamond plate cover where the sill plate attached, you have to take a jack and jack up the back of the diamond plate trim until the gap closes between the body and the trim. Here's what it looks like before you jack it up and screw it in place.

Wow, yeah that's a horrible gap. Glad it's all figured out. The dealer I got my body from got my taillight covered and is sending a new one. They actually sent to much hardware.

Still can't believe I screwed up my rubber mat lol... I did however buy a rivet kit so at least I do have the rivets to fix it.

I actually bought a entire Powder Coated Diamond plate kit that includes the floor. It goes over the rubber mat and then the side trim goes on and it get bolted in place. Ready for this build to be done.

It goes over the rubber mat, or it replaces it? I don't know if I'd want the rubber mat to be sandwiched in there collecting moisture.
