Default Help/Advice 4" lift kit

I am putting a 4" lift kit, the economy version from Buggies Unlimited, on my '90 Marathon 36v.

Everything has gone well, EXCEPT, the shocks just seem as though they are at a very odd angle. You expect them to be more lined up with the top and bottom brackets, however, no matter how I turn the bottom shock extensions, the angle just seems off.

Is this the norm? Is this something peculiar to be concerned with. I will get a picture this weekend when I work to re-mount the shocks. I had taken everything apart to make sure I had it perfectly lined up.

Anyone every deal with this??

Thank you in advance.

Most members don't/won't deal with BU. They're frowned upon here.

Post your pics, you'll probably get some help...

Crap, I wish I would have known this before I ordered from them, looks like they are already giving me the run around on my wheels and tires being shipped separate from the rest of my order

I'm new and know nothing about any beef with BU. Can you tell me why?

I just put this kit on a Marathon. I do recall fitment for shock mount extensions seemed a bit odd but no issues once installed. On the rear we oriented the shock mount extensions in the opposite orientation as shown in the instructions. (When mounted as shown in the instructions the top portion of the shock made contact with the extension when compressed). On the front we mounted with vertical portion of the extensions toward the outside. I don't have access to the cart today but can get pictures if you need.

Did anyone have issues getting the rear shocks to go through the shock mount extensions? Only way it would fit was to loosen the top of the shock and leave the bottom grommet off...
