Default 2009 RXV Slows down until you cycle switch??

I have a 2009 RXV 48V that has been running fine and all of the sudden the fuel gauge goes to empty and it basically stops. You can cycle the switch a couple of times and the gauge will go back to almost full and it runs fine for a while. It does this several times a round of golf and seems to get worse the longer it is being used. Ideas?
