rxv motor brake
can the selinoid be the problem for motor brake not releasing

Use your volt meter to check for pack voltage at the plug to the motor brake. Any conditions the brake should be released (like neutral/tow) you should read pack voltage.

Even simpler answer. No
While it is possible the sol is bad, cart should fail post test And not strain against brake. Try to drive cart. If cart try's to run, you probably have a bad brake. Place car in tow. Turn key to N Does brake release? If no..... It is most likely the brake. Turn cart off. Safe it up to get under cart. Remove brake. Does it stink to high heaven? If yes. Clean motor end and lug and replace. Do not overtighten bolts or new brake WILL fail |
