1980 ezgo controller cart

Cart will run but moves very slowly unless pushed. Then it runs fine on level ground. Have replaced all components except the controller. Any suggestions.

Do you mean if you push it up to full speed then it will continue to run at full speed but, the cart cannot get up to full speed under it's own power?

No all you need to do is give it a shove and it will go on it's own.

Check for excessively worn motor brushes.

it's got a new motor, the only thing I have not changed is the controller.

what controller is it? what size and age cables? what motor? what voltage?
