Brake Part Identification?
Hey all. If I'm looking at the inside of the drums on the rear of my 2007 EZGO TXT, towards the bottom of the drum is a brake lever. Around that brake lever is some kind of rubber dust boot. Mine is torn and I can't seem to find it on any parts site that I look at.
Can someone tell me what this is called and where to find it? Is it a standalone replacement part or is it a part of the drum itself? Thanks! |

Re: Brake Part Identification?
I called shopezygo.com, and explained what I wanted.
If you download the Owners, Parts, and Service manuals from the stickies, it will have the name and part number. |

Re: Brake Part Identification?
Thanks for the replies! I think what has thrown me off is that I couldn't find one with the correct year, as the link you provided shows the part is good for models through 1996. Is this part good for the 2007 model as well? Thanks again!

Re: Brake Part Identification?
The link SN posted. Says Brake Shoe Dust Cover for EZGO (1982-up). The one on the bottom of the page is different, If that's the one your looking at that says EZGO (1986-96)

Re: Brake Part Identification?
Got it. Thanks again guys. By the way, is the boot a press fit into the backing plate?

Re: Brake Part Identification?
Received the boots. Anyone know if these are press fit, and do I need to take off the brake drum or can I install it from underneath?

Re: Brake Part Identification?
Ok, so figured out that it is a press fit. Problem is that the part that i have is the wrong one for this brake plate. The stock boot for the EZGO has the brake lever slit to one side of the boot. The one that I have, has the slit in the middle of the boot. Brake lever is centered as well. Was hard to tell that when the piece was on.
Thinking its an aftermarket drum or something. Any ideas on what part this might come from? |

Hi CV
Maybe if you post a picture of your brake drum plate it will help others better answer your questions. Mike |
