DC CONVERTER problem
OK.....I have one of scottys DC Converters. I have the POWER and GROUND going to the pack.....and the trigger wire to a toggle switch.....then to the pack. I have this exact set up on my other cart.
On this build.....If the switch is ON.....everything works like a champ....everything......but as soon as I flip the trigger wire switch OFF......the it gets hotter than a fire cracker like there is a dead short....but if the switch is OPEN or in the OFF position....how can that be??? I even pulled my cart over next to this one and made a jumper to check things out so it wouldn't effect this cart as the drive system is totally separate to the lights.......and it acted the exact same way!!!! WHAT THE HECK???? HELP ME!!!! |

WELL it be the wires.....or a short in one of them......I just disconnected the power lead coming in and made a jumper to take its place.....same thing.....
I think I might have a toggle laying around to make that test. |

Re: DC CONVERTER problem
ITS NOT THE SWITCH.....I don't have a clue why.....but ya know, all of these switches are illuminated (have a small LED in he tip).....but ya know when I did my test with my through down toggle and everything worked.....so the only thing different was the little light that comes off of the main power, and has it own GROUND. So I took the ground off of the switch, which means the tip won't light up, BUT EVERYTHING WORKS THAT WAY!!!! its the only one that is like that, all the rest of them are fine.....wonders never cease!! so its back together. WHAT A DAY!!
