Default Battery blew up.

a friend of mine asked if I'd take a look at his cart , said that something went bang! He mentioned that his passenger almost left his set . I have some knowledge about carts in general , enough to know to look under the set for answers at least , apparently it's more than he knows because he had no idea what made the noise , just pushed it home and parked it for months . So here is the cart , It a western golf and country and I believe its a 100 model.

Big black mark under the set on the passenger side. Bet that guy will think twice about golfing ever again.

Only a handful of things that can cause it. Usually poor maintenance.

Every great now and again something bad could go wrong inside the battery to cause it.

It happens when the electrolyte or acid gets down below the level of the plates, the separators dry out and can short out causing an explosion - bad maintenance. This is why I love my gas machine - much less chance of loosing an eye or worst a test tic al LOL

If the friend "just pushed it home" and could not figure out what made the noise, I would guess poor battery maintenance. I am not sure how you could lift up the seat and not notice that exploded battery.
