87 marathon electric cart soleniod
So when I got the cart what appears to me is a solenoid was taped to a couple of the cables. There is 2 smaller wires going to it and has 2 prongs on the top that have nothing connected. Does any body know where it is actually supposed to go or if I'm missing some cables that are supposed to go to it. I will post some pics in morning.
Thanks fellas Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk |

Re: 87 marathon electric cart soleniod
From what I have found on the net this looks just like a starting solenoid. At least allbthe pics I've seen that look like this one. Anybody super smart know what I got going here.

Re: 87 marathon electric cart soleniod
In the end a solenoid is a relay - an electrically operated switch. Looks small for motor current but could be intended for lights, horn, etc. I'm assuming you've got a bigger solenoid in the high amp wiring to your motor, right? Do you have accessories on the cart that aren't working?

Re: 87 marathon electric cart soleniod
Looks like it's connected to the micro switch and the bigger solenoid
