Default New to carts Gel battery question.

So I have been reading around the forums for about two weeks about batteries. Just purchased a 2007 EZ GO that has gel batteries.
Does the factory charger have enough power to bring to batteries SOC(state of charge)?
Info:
36V
Trojan gel 6V 189 20 HR
154 5 HR
Manufacture date Feb- March 2013 per date code
Charger: Power Wise
Model 28115G04
Number of cells 18ampere hour: 245

Pack charge is 37.6 after 12 HRs
Batteries are 6.2 on the front 3 , 6.1 on the back 3.

I don't know how they were maintained.
I understand the batteries are not going to perform like new.
Thanks Bax

From what I read, you cant use standar charger with GEL batteries. Are you sure its GEL or are they AGM?

Well it seems I have the wrong charger for Gel batteries. Gel batteries have a different charger than lead-acid batteries.
I think I'm going just to run these with the factory charger until they die.

I think I got a good priced on the cart so I'm not too upset with the dealer.
All New:
14" tires and rims.
Genuine black Imitation alligator skin seats
Black extended top.
Rear seat with fold down.
Overload leaf springs.
New paint.
Gel batteries
Led lights.
Speed controller.

Time to shop for batteries!
Thanks for the info.

I think the DeltaQ chargers have a gel charging algorithm but they are 48 volt. A DPI might be able to but you would have to ask them. The problem is the current batteries have been being charged incorrectly so even of you got them on the correct charger they may not come back.

kgsc:Agree with that. I'm just going to run them as they are and when I can't get an 45 min or so run time out of them, I"ll replace them with lead-acid.
