Default Alltrax controller

Ok just installed a new xct alltrax 400 controller in my 2003 ez go cart and getting trouble code and no work. I am getting 2 greens and 3 red light flashes. Book says high throttle over range can someone explain what that means. Do I need to replace something else I m going crazy here. Thanks Brian

Good you got the manual out. Page 28 lists the codes and then on pg 29 there is an explanation of 'high throttle over range' and 2 suggested fixes.

We can assume you are in the right section and we are talking about a TXT with ITS throttle. IF yes, the controller should flash 4 times green when powered up to indicate ITS program. If some other count of green flash the control is not set to your throttle type and that would be the cause of the error code

Ok well I played the stupid game and found out I get the award for failing to plug in one of the wiring harness plugs. Guess what I have a working cart. Thanks

Assuming it's the 4 wire Molex connector from the throttle box, remember the location of this 14 year old connector. If you have problems in the future, look there. Its location make it prone to corrosion problems.

That connector took me a while to troubleshoot, but once I found it, I found it caused me problems several times a year, I finally cut it off and soldered the wires, and used heat-shrink. If any of the two wires that connect to the throttle microswitch fail, the solenoid won't click. If any of the two ITS wires fail, the solenoid will click, but the controller won't know you're telling it to go.
