Value of Cart
I have a 1992 EZGO 36V electric golf cart that I need to sell, but I'm not sure what I should try to sell it for. I was thinking $500 w/o batterys and like $1100 with batterys, but I think that is a little high.
The biggest problem I see selling my cart is that I cannot show that it works because the Trojan 105's are toast. I considered buying some batterys and then selling it, but if I can sell it for a decent price without buying new batterys that would be best. For its age I think it is in very good condition. Before the batterys went bad it was a very nice driving cart. The body is in real good shape, except for a few places where the paint chipped off. The tires, seats, underbody are also in good shape. The battery rack has minimal rust, as well as the rest of the frame. Since it was garage kept and hardly drove the canopy is also in real nice shape. It also has brake lights and headlights. It would come with faux wool seat covers, battery charger(rebuilt in like '96), floor mat and a spare tire. I joined here to recieve some information on how much my cart is worth. If you guys need any other information or pics for it let me know. Here is a bunch of pictures of my cart. http://s589.photobucket.com/albums/ss333/Bobby82490/ |

Re: Value of Cart
Go to a local golf course and ask if they have any old batteries you can purchase. They get a minimal core charge refund from old batteries, so you giving them a $100 bucks for a set of used batteries when they would only get approx $50-$60 bucks from the battery vendor might sound attractive to them. And the used batteries should be good enough at least to demo the cart and drive around for a few minutes.
