Default What might be a dumb question 1997 DCS wiring

So I am rebuilding a 97 DCS. I bought a XCT 500 DCS and wired it all up last night...well sort of. I wired up everything but the charging circuit, I did bypass the reed switch, but with everything hooked up I got nothing. No lights, nothing. Seeing as how the reed switch is attached to the positive side of the charger port would that cause any issues?

ok....let me make sure I under stand....you hooked up everything EXPECT the charging port.....correct? and now you have nothing.....and the charging port is still not hooked up? correct?.....if this is correct.....then YES this will be a problem as the read switch or at least its connection, as makes a connection from the + battery connection to the RUN/TOW switch.....thus you have a broken loop/connection.

Good to know. I didn't hook up the charging circuit because it had been cut off before I got the cart so I have to rewire it. I will try it tonight and see what happens.

Thanks
