Unless you totally know what your doing don't mess around with those pins. Touching two together could result in blowing your controller.

I have been selling alot of these 3 function RXV meters. They are awesome!

They are more accurate then the oem. As far as plug and play, they are. You pop out your oem meter ( or drill a 2" hole if you do not have one now ).
Flip switch to tow, unplug the old meter ( if you have one ), and plug the meter directly to the oem wire harness, The meter has a button, that you need to drill an additional 1/2" hole for mounting. The only wires that are not actually attached to the meter when you get it, is the 2 small wires that you plug onto the button with. These 2 small wires are not attached to the button, to fit it into the package. Very simple plug in .

What is the best feature about this meter, is we have been selling them to rxv owners to show them that their existing chicken s*** oem toaster charger DOES NOT CHARGE their batteries to 100%. Its more like 88 %..

We have sold to 18 RXV owners with 12 volt trojan batteries and oem crappy chargers, and when they install the meter they see it only goes to usually 88 % or 89%. Then we sell them a DPI charger, and once they start using the DPI charger, the meter starts raising higher , and after a few charge cycles reaches 100 % after the batteries have been charged with the DPI chargers.

The customers love them, they show the digital voltage ( i give them a chart)
and it shows hours from moment it is installed, and it shows battery voltage in %. Multi colored read out.

Very cool. , customers love them.

Perhaps I received a bad one. Mine never displays 100% SOC (I use a DPI charger and a new set of Trojans broken in). % SOC seems to drop more rapidly than I would expect. However, the battery pack voltage displayed is accurate as I compare the display to my DVM and is always reflective of a higher SOC than what the % charge shows. Not sure if the conversion in the SOC meter is off or just what. I love the meter but wish the % SOC tracked accurately with the pack voltage reading.

When I first started hooking them up, I also thought they were not correct.

Yes the digital voltage is dead on as your volt meter should be. The % starts out between 86 -88%, i find when they have been using the toaster charger, or if the batteries are new and have not charged yet. After you start using the DPI charger, and the batteries are broke in, you should see the % start increasing and eventually will get to 100 %.

NOW, the % is accurate, what you don't realize, as soon as you step on the pedal ( put a load on it ), it drops immediately to 90 something%, but that is correct. Let off the pedal and it will climb back up to the correct %.

If you hook up your voltage meter to a cart, as soon as you step on the pedal, the voltage will dive, but let up on the pedal ( stop) and you will see the voltage meter settle back in to the correct number.

Mine starts at 99% post charge (DPI and pack broken in) and drops to 94% after about a minute of pedal time. It will increase back to 99% after a short rest and pack voltage recovers but never indicates 100%. As the pack draws down the mismatch between pack voltage and % SOC increases. Post charge and sitting on the float meter voltage and DVM both read 52.9 but % reads 99%. I must have a quirky one. I understand how pack voltage changes under load and I monitor that rather than rely on the %.

This meter works and works well.
Works off 5 volt signal from controller.
Its reading are same as your volt meter and Identical to dealers hand held curtis or danaher.
It is reading battery capacity in percentage. Reads over all pack voltage . and logs time on batteries. from when meter is installed.
Plugs in to RXV wiring harness behind dash. !

Does anyone know what voltage I should be getting at the grey wire for soc? Mine is showing 31v and that seems odd.

Unless you understand that circuit, you need to stop messing with it until you do. Just a small mistake can render the controller ruined until repair or replacement (even stuff that you thought was accepted test procedure in the past like test lamp probes, even the specs on cheap meters are suspect).
