Default Battery question

I have a battery that is only at 4 volts , while all the others are at 6. Can that cause my cart not to run? It will run for abot 2 minutes and then acts like the cart is dead. Any input would be great.

yeah it could, and like you already said the car is very weak. Good chance more of your batteries are not good either, you need to load test them to find out. what year are the batteries?

Either one battery is crap, or some accessory is incorrectly tapped into that battery. Any small extra wires on that batteries terminals?

There are some lights hooked up to a different battery, but it's illegal to drive at night here so they rarely ever get used. That is, everything else is bone stock. I'm getting suspect battery load tested today. I hope that's all it is.

I charged the cart over night and checked in the morning. Cart now does nothing at all, not even a reverse buzzer. I jumped the solenoid and the cart moved forward and reverse. Swapped out the solenoid with a new one and nothing. Would it now have to be a bad controller? I going crazy trying to figure this out.

What are the actual readings of the individual batteries and the total pack. A battery that is at 6 volts is 50% discharged. A battery at 4 volts is dead. Charge the pack untill it cuts off on its own, wait 12 hrs. and record the voltages.

This is a 36 volt cart. Fully charged they were all 6.3. The pack was 38. When I jumped the solenoid I actually drove the cart down the street. So I know the motor and the pedal work. The only thing left I can think of woul be the controller, which I'm hoping it's not.

Did you have throttle control when solenoid jumped? Or harsh On-Off operation? Does your cart have a solid state controller, or resistor coils? If you have a solid state controller And had good throttle control, the controller is likely ok.

Yes, it functioned just like normal. Solid state controller. If controller is ok what could be causing no power at all? I don't know what to try next.
