Default Ezgo dcs 36v

I put new batteries in today and I'm nervous if the charger was bad. I have 2 power wise chargers. First one I plugged in and it showed 5 amps of charging. 2nd one I plugged in and it shows 17 amps of charge. Is this normal?10 minutes into charging and it's down to 14 amps

How long should it charge the first time. Is it possible to overcharge? I don't want to waste all this money on batteries to just ruin them

Let em charge. 7.45x6=44.7 I can go higher. First charge can be a big one if the batts had some shelf time. Charge amperage should start going down and spend LOTS of time on a low leveling charge.

Is it safe to go to sleep while it's charging? It won't overcharge? Sounds like charger is working as intended?

Also. I have a few cables that need new lugs. Can I just turn to tow mode and cut wire then solder or do I have to remove the wires before soldering? I would of course remove the from the batteries before working on them. Just want to make sure I won't mess up controller or something

Also. If I were to replace the 6 volts with 3 12v marine batteries would anything have to change? Would charger still charge the batteries? Everything works fine? Or would wiring have to be changed to make that work

put it in tow mode, fix cables on the work bench. reinstall and rock on.
I've never tried the marine batteries, but I'm guessing they wouldn't hold a charge very long. I would leave those on the boat

Some of the wires are from the harness. Would it hurt to solder while they are on the cart?
