Default 2002 TXT beast

I purchased a used 02 TXT a few years ago and recently installed new Trojan batteries for it (36v). I followed the break in scenario from this web site and my cart tops out at 20 mph on flat terrain...from my reading this cart should only run 13-14mph? Am I misreading this or....?

Thanks!

Jim

You must have a PDS cart that has the freedom activated.

My 01 freedom did 21-23 from the factory and it's a series. Apparently it's not very common at all, but they are out there. It had a larger Curtis controller and a hotter motor. Kernal (haven't heard from that guy in a bit) has a txt that came with a similar setup. Use this link to tell which drive system you have.

That serial number shows a series cart.

Check the labels on the motor and controller.

There were 18-19 mph series carts from the factory. Look at motor label, factory HS motor reads "AU2500 HI Speed".
