installed new F&R switch on EZGO TXT now won't move

I have a 2003 EZGO TXT with a series motor. A few days ago, I noticed that it was acting up. It had power but would barely move and smelled hot. After it started moving it was fine. So i go in and find a cable burned on the F&R switch. Two posts were damaged, so I ordered a new F&R complete unit and must have gotten a wire mixed up somewhere when installing it because now I have no power at all.
I tried continuity testing per another post and it shows continuity between any pair (every possible pair) of posts on the F&R switch.
Frustrated...

Does the solenoid click when you try to go?

My problem is that i have continuity across every post (i.e. 4-3, 4-8, and 4-5, etc..)

Also, I didn't open the controller box, but I have a-2 in position #4 (I just checked controller and I have a-1 at position m- ... It was running fine until it got hot and i swapped out the f&r switch assembly

If the solenoid is not clicking when you try to go the F&R micro switches or the switches supply may be at fault.

Check to see if you have 36v (+) at the micro switch on the driver's side... at one terminal in neutral and at both terminals in either travel direction.

Is this view from the front or the rear? From the "B" nut designation it looks like a view from the rear. If so my s-2 and s-1 are reversed.

Here is what i have using a "clock" setup from the rear looking towards the front of the cart:
12 = A-2
3 = S-1
6 = Controller B+
9 = S-2

micro switches from left to right:
blue, red, jumper, orange/red

I have readings of zero in all three positions... 38 across battery bank - well 37 anyway

Additionally = brand new f&r switch - have done continuity tests with microswitches - they seem to be working also have done continuity with all cables disconnected - switch seems to be working properly

OK, now I show voltage at both terminals in reverse - still nothing in forward or neutral

mu cart is a couple years older but the micro switch terminal closest to the battery has a red wire connected to pack voltage+ the next terminal has a blue wire and a red wire that goes to the next switch then finally the orange, hope this helps, dehartb
