Default Looking for help - RXV only works if I rock it first

I've got a lifted 48v RXV with mud tires that gets worked pretty hard. The cart has been rock solid with minimal maintenance over the years. Recently replaced charger plug due to corrosion on the temp sensor but everything worked fine. Put in a couple of long days at the camp last weekend including some mud and water and the cart did fine. Got home and hosed it down, put in garage and charged and moved on like always. Tried to move it out for kids and it would not do anything, solenoid pulling in sounded louder than usual but who knows. Started to investigate today and finally pushed it forward to rock it a bit and it started working. Rode for a while with kids stopping and starting several times without issue. Later in the day it did the same thing, turned key on and nothing in forward or reverse, rock it forward and try again and it works fine. I don't want to get stranded in the woods from this, any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Try removing motor brake and taking the cover off on the inside face. Clean and dry it thoroughly then put it back together and put it back on. Water probably got into it.

Mine was doing something very similar, but even rocking it would not help. Opened up the motor brake and found it was rusted up. Gave it a good cleaning and back in business.
