Default Trojan T-875 battery cable routing

So I'm in the process of upgrading my cart from 36v to 48v. I didn't realize on the T-875s the battery posts are both on the same side of the battery, ugh. I already have 2g cables from my 36v that I had a buddy make up but I think they are going to be too short for my new setup. Anybody have pics of their 6-8v battery cable setup? Thanks.

true enough your cables (some of them) will be short. I just put my new pack in....here is how the cables route. btw.....there three batteries (in the rear, middle and passenger side and in the front drivers side) in your picture are in the wrong way. see how they are in my picture.

Thanks, I had short cables on my old batteries. Would it make a difference if some of my cable were short between batteries and others longer? This is how I laid it out with my old cables. The blue tape is the only cable I would have to make this way.

it won't make any difference at all.....just take your time and ensure you are going + to - all the way around and you will be good.

Thanks, Sir Nuke, did you cut down your battery hold down to fit? Also I'm going to have to drill holes in the bottom of my battery tray and run a full length threaded rod down through the holes since my tray doesn't have the tabs for a regular hold down.

Here's what I came up with for my cables.

With that main positive and negative so close together looks like an accident waiting to happen.

USG has a valid point. I would look to put some type of makeshift cover for both the positive and negative terminals where you have your wires coming from. Doesn't have to be to fancy.....just to prevent a dropped wrench or screwdriver from causing a major meltdown. Remember, your dealing with a lot of amps there.
