will this work for a lestronic ii 42v charger? it says 36/48v but mine is 42v.

If it'll do 36V and 48V, it'll do 42V.

FWIW:
The nominal voltage applied to the diodes in a 36V ferroresonant transformer type charger is 90VAC, for a 42V charger it is 105VAC and for a 48V charger it is 120VAC.

thank you! put this in my pocket for later.

While i'm on the topic, what about things like voltage meters for 42v? Should I use a 48V or will it not be accurate enough? I assume 36v wouldn't go high enough?

i need some more help here, before i have to call a real cart guy.

i replaced the diode, and it did not fix my issue. the charger relay clicks, and i hear buzzing, but the meter sits on 1amp. what else could be the issue with my lestronic ii 42v charger? Could it get resistance on the + and - leads from the recptacle to the battery terminal?

Let us know what the "real cart guy" has to say.

i was referring to myself trying to fix this.

the real cart guy was a jerk, who assumed my batteries were bad. no one in person including the shop i went to today, cared to listen to the results i found via testing from methods proposed on this forum. pretty annoying. its like i'm dealing with people that only work with old folks who just want to pay money to have something fixed.

i've always fixed things myself, via youtube and forums, and so based on what i've learned in this forum i feel i was close to fixing my issue, but i left my charger at a shop today for them to test. they said "it isn't working we'll have to repair it" and then wrote down that it was a 48v charger when it is not, only a 42v. ugh.

so the cart company called, the capacitor cable was loose. i had read the guide and got to the capacitor troubleshooting and got lazy and said screw this i'll just take it in. 94 dollars later, i could have fixed it by just looking at the wires.

again please don't be offended by my comment, i simply meant real cart guy, instead of myself. now that i know what a ripoff these places are, i hope i can learn more and help others out as well.

Lucky it was only a loose wire, otherwise it probably would have been cheaper to buy a new 42V DPI Accusense charger.

The loose wire on the cap ought to have shown up on the capacitor/transformer test.

Here is a service manual and some other stuff for a Lestonic-II
