Default Replaced Soleniod in 1997 ezgo now no click?

Hello need help I have a 1997 ezgo textron with speed controller. I jump the solenoid to find out that it was bad. I put the new one on and now there is no click. I since bought a alltrax 400 amp controller and put it on and still no click(thought I may have burnt up my controller). I have been reading other posts maybe I shorted out micro switch? Also the reverse sound used to work as well and now it doesn't since I replaced the soleniod.

I don't remember much about these, they used to have a 36V controlled
solenoid. A 12V wouldn't work. I would check that 1st. If you went to an auto parts store you probably got 12V. I dont know how to verify this, maybe the old one has a ledgable tag. Good Luck. Someone else here knows a heck of alot more than me.

The reverse buzzer micro is located on the F/R switch. The solenoid micros is under the floormat in a box. If you already haven't done it download a manual from the stickies.

It could be a bad micro but since it quit AFTER YOU REPLACED THE SOLENOID you probly have something miswired.

I bet you zapped the reed switch. It is the small wire coming out of the charger plug. You can check this by hooking the small wire from the wiring harness that conectted to the one in the charger plug to 36 volts.

I am quite sure I zapped something and I did order the soleniod from grandier not really a golf cart place so maybe I got the wrong voltage but I am sure it says 36v. Thanks I will try to find this micro switch and reed switch. Wish me luck :o)

Don't throw the original solenoid away yet! Just cause it worked when jumped doesn't mean it was bad....Consider that it may not have been getting the impulse to operate As in the case of a bad microswitch... If your new solenoid says 36v and has 2 big and 2 small posts then it probably is OK.

Okay so just to be sure cause I am getting ready to order the micro switches there are two of them the part 10606-G2, just want to make sure I am order the right thing cause they aren't real expensive. I downloaded the manuals and that is the switches located where the forward reverse is engaged? Sorry new to this just learning.

I'm not real familiar with your model but as Roady said there is at least one under the floor at the ITS (throttle positioner). Recheck the diagram....think this is the one that is messing with you also use your voltmeter to check them. They are just a simple switch, power in & power out.
