Default What lift kit do I need?

Hello all. Thanks in advance for the help. I have a EZGO electric golf cart that is at a location about an hour and a half away. I want to purchase a lift kit for it so that I can install it the next time that I go to the location. I have some 22x11x10 tires that I want to put on. I was hoping I had a picture, but I cant find one. I know it is a EZGO 36v, and it has the forward reverse electric switch on the dash (pds?) I am not sure any other details of it. Can someone tell me which lift kits would work with this size tire and this model golf cart? Do you need more info to determine which golf cart it is?

Thanks so much.

If it's a PDS cart it should be newer than 2001, so you need a lift for 2001.5 and newer carts. 6" is usually the normal. Maybe someone else can confirm this. I'm not sure the exact first year of the PDS.

2000 is the first year for PDS. Steering change was mid 2001. As Nuke said, if the steering column bolts to the floor with 3 bolts it is the old steering. 4 bolts indicates 2001.5 and up. The steering rack is mounted on the front axle instead of the the kick panel on the 2001.5 and up carts. Probably a more obvious clue. It's important to know as the lift kits are different for the pre and post steering change.

So there is a chance it could be a 2000 PDS with the old 3 bolt steering column. Yes he will need to wait and confirm before buying a lift.

A chance for sure but the odds are probably low. Likely a newer cart but if it was me and I played the odds, I'd end up with the wrong kit.

Me too! That's why I suggested confirming first! [emoji2]

So, do the three bolt steering column bolt in the same place has the 4 bolt? Also, I see different types of lifts (jake, drop axle, spindle etc.). Can someone help me understand the pros and cons to each?

Thanks!

Yes, at the floor where the column goes through. The old style has THREE bolts in a triangular shape and the newer style has 4 bolts in a square shape.
