Cart jerks on very light acceleration
So, I upgraded my cart thru Scotty B around the middle of Sept this year. Alltrax 48500, solenoid, HD FR switch, 2g cables. I also changed my cart from 36v to 48v. The improvements have been amazing!!!! Until Sunday. It was raining and wet and I had my cart out running around our hunting property when all of a sudden the cart would "jerk" if I tried to take off real slow. And I don't mean just one jerk, it would jerk 2,3,4 times. I have no idea as to what's going on, it has been fine since I put it all together in sept. Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: Cart jerks on very light acceleration
Experts will chime in soon, I’m sure, but it sounds like water in the throttle box could be a potential cause. Did you get the cart into some water that may have gotten up under the floorboard? You can get to it under the floor at, open it up, dry it out, if needed.

Assuming Ezgo Marathon the potentiometer reacts the same way and fix is the same drying out process. |

Thanks, I will try that later today. Weird thing is I have had this cart for 3 years, it's been plenty wet before this and I've never had a problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

While you are in the throttle box inspect the micro switch(ms) operation.... replace the ms if it looks like the trigger is worn sloppy - if there is no water or foreign object in the box or induction tube I suspect trouble in the wire harness plug between the ITS and the controller. |

Re: Cart jerks on very light acceleration
I believe mine did that one time and had something to do with the fwd/rev assembly

Re: Cart jerks on very light acceleration
I'm guessing something got water in it because I just took it for a ride and it's fine now. Thanks all
