Default EZGO TXT testing soleoid question

I have what I believe is a 2003 TXT. None of the year markers are on the cart.
With the pictures below can anyone help me with testing the solenoid and other electrical components in the battery compartment area or with an estimate of the year of the cart. It is a 36 volt.

Also upon inspection this morning I noticed the red wire connected to the solenoid large post was bare and it looks like the coating melted.

This is an 03 TXT PDS
The melted wire is the positive(+) connection for the control side of the system. This indicates a short somewhere in this system. Below is the + control system diagram highlighted in red. There should be 36v + at each end of every red line when the cart is on, in forward gear, and pedal down. Trace this circuit starting at the charge receptacle until you find the point where the (+) stops.

Thanks!. Would I ground the black to something and check with the red probe? The charge receptacle will have power with the charger not plugged? One last question what is the easiest way to access the pedal box?

Connect the black - on your DVM to the battery pack main negative post to test the diagram that Scotty posted. Golf carts are not grounded to the chassis.

Remove the drivers side rocker panel, lift the floor mat, under the mat is a box with four screws in the cover. Remove those screw and access the ITS. It is normal to have voltage at the charge receptacle at all times. It is connected directly to the battery pack.

I just got done checking everything but the pedal box. Everything checked out voltage wise when pressing the pedal. The solenoid does click when pressing the pedal. Not sure if that is normal or not. What do you think?

Solenoid clicks but no go? Could be a high amperage cable is bad. Solenoid is clicking but not connecting controller to the battery pack ( hit the solenoid with a screwdriver handle and retry)

Could it be a bad battery even though they all test good with a voltmeter?
