Default noise from 96 back end

Have a 96 dcs. When it's topped out and rolling i hear a noise coming from the rear somewhere. Cant tell if it's the hub or not. Any suggestions on how to check since it only happens after top speed and free roll.

Is it a repetitive sound? Is it only making the noise while coasting?
Can you get a video of it? If so post it and people can help narrow it down for you.

only when coasting. I tried to get recording of it but it cant be heard on video. road noise drowns it out. it only happens after you top out and coast.

I had a repetitive noise that could only be heard when coasting and it ended up being one of the castle nuts on the rear axle was not properly torqued down. I tightened it up and it stopped. The manual says the torque spec is 70-140 ft lbs.

Also check this thread out http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...-coasting.html.

There's a video in the first post. See if that's the noise you're hearing
