88 Marathon revival.
First time cart owner and first time posting. Hope everyone will take it easy on me as I know I will have a zillion questions about this thing.
Lets call it "Kirkland". All my vehicles/projects get a name. This one is named after the small community where it was purchased. Kirkland was a running cart some 3+ years ago. it served an avid golfer well till it was handed down and turn rowed when the SxS got popular. I paid 300 for it with a charger and new front cone/bumper. One rear tire will have to be replaced as it set flat and causes the sidewall to leak. It will need a fresh set of batts (ouch) I'm sure. May just go the 3-12's route for now as it wont be driven much further than you can throw a rock twice. It was purchased to haul gear and peeps from the lake cabin to the boat ramp and over to the in-laws cabin (three chunks of a rock) My first question is what are some of the items I need to check on the cart before I press the go pedal. Dirt dobber nests in the resistors, condition of the contacts in the go pedal, etc. Anyone fabbed a front bumper of some kind for a Marathon? I would really like to protect the new front plastics as I read they arent avaliable anymore! Thanks everyone!! |

Re: 88 Marathon revival.
The front plastic “nose” is available in several places, and I have purchased many new ones recently.
They’re all over ebay. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: 88 Marathon revival.
Hello to you and Kirkland. I just yesterday picked up an 87 in a small town named Riley. I'll have to think if thats what I want to call it as my projects are usually she's so they get stripper names LOL. I too am lurking heavily here as I want to lift it and get more juice out of it. Happy carting.
