Default New AMD Beast...no forward

Today I installed my AMD 7124 Beast Motor (new, but been on shelf a while)
I had had called AMD and Alltrax before the swap, to go over everything to look for.....on a test drive just before the swap, everything was working fine

Old motor came out and new one slipped right in with no problems. (that should have been my first warning!!!)

After double checking my connections and connecting battery pack, I have full power in reverse, but wheels will only slightly "chug" in forward...maybe a slight binding feeling with my hand on the wheel that should be spinning ?

My cart setup is in my signature, before I hit the "undo button", any ideas where my "Hey Stan, ya dummy, you forgot ......" ???

Thanks Guys !

Working in one direction, but not the other, is typically a F/R switch issue, but it could be a motor or mechanical issue.

Swap the S1 and S2 cables at either the motor or the F/R switch and the cart ought to run forward when F/R is in reverse. If it does, the problem is F/R switch related.

Johnnie,

I think I need to borrow your tin foil hat !!!

Turns out I cant read my own writing.... I managed to get the A2 and S2 leads swapped !!!!

A little "walk away, come back and start over..... I found my own, "Stan, ya dumb a--......" doesn't seem to have damaged anything..

Now the buggy runs 23 on level road (up from 22) but the biggest difference is the hill climbing ability. A pretty good 1/2 mile grade was down to 6-8 mph before, now a steady 16 all the way up !!!

I got the motor through some parts and cart work trading, so I guess I'll be giving Scottyb a call for some disc brakes !!!

I think I need a little more "whoa" to match the "Go" !!!

Merry Christmas !!!

Be sure to use tin foil. The aluminum foil stuff used in the kitchen attracts alien brainwaves instead of repelling them.

Glad you found and fixed it.

Merry Christmas to you and your's.
