Default Mounting Roll bar Speaker to roof struts

Has anyone successfully mounted a speaker designed to be mounted on a 2" roll bar onto the rear roof support struts of a golf cart? I am thinking some sort of rubber adapter or resizer. Searched throughout ebay and amazon and no luck with such a part. It would reduce a 2" round to 1" square. Please see pictures.

Make a "U" out of 2" OD PVC pipe and elbows and mount it to the underside of the roof with pipe flanges.

Paint with gloss black to match speaker housing, or some other color.

Use different size pvc pipe and slide together to make a reduction in diameter to 1" and use cross bolt to hold Pvc in place on strut. Paint to match. Than just clamp on speaker. Only permanent modification is the cross bolt to hold PVC.

If the roof support is a 1" x 1" square, the innermost PVC pipe would need to have an ID of 1.414".
