I have a 2014 EZGO RXV 48V, with Curtis controller. I am interested in getting the Curtis tweeked to get closer to 30mph, however, I still need decent torque as I take it off road here in TN. Not sure if raising this top speed will change my ability for hill climbing, if so I'd like to raise the top speed as high as I can while still being able to climb hills. Your suggestions are welcome, also I will need price and address to send this puppy in
Unlike the TXT, where you must choose between a speed build or a torque build, the RXV has plenty of both. As long as you do not go overboard on tire size, the stock controller is capable. If you do choose to go overboard on tire size, be prepared to spend big bucks on a 350 Amp Curtis upgrade controller to turn those tires with the torque required to do what you expect of them.

The Wheels are 14in and tires are 23in tires. I have Jakes spindle lift kit. IT is run by 4*12V Batts setup. I have added heavy duty Leaf Springs and it does have rear fold seats.
If possible to tweek it up to 30 please let me know how to reach you to get mailing and pricing info.

Side note, have any of you tried retro fitting a Titan TXT front cowl onto the rxv. I would think you could dremel the curve that the RXV has for key ignition panel, as well as cut the sides shorter to fit. Just throwing it out there

You'll need to buy a 350 Amp controller before I can do anything for you. Your stock controller will not survive driving 23" tires with the stock gearing of the RXV rear axle. Sure, you can spend the bucks to regear, but it's less expensive to replace the tires with 205/40-14" tires and be happy with the stock controller and 32 to 33 MPH.

Be glad you don't have the newest RXV controller.

OH, yeah I have the 235Amp Curtis. Guess I will wait until the controller I have goes out, not worth 1000 dollars to gain 10mph.
How much are you able to power up the 235amp controller? Or since I have large tires 23",am I stuck without spending money for a higher amp controller? I am getting 22MPH right now on freedom mode.

I had the same issue locating and purchasing the controller. Navitas is the OEM, and they have a number of distributors listed on their webpage. Because the TAC system for the RXV is still in Beta testing, I'm not sure the dealers know that it is available yet. I called nearly every distributor on the list before making contact with Fat Cat Golf Carts. Contact Sandy at (903)259-0944 and she will hook you up. You purchase through them, and the kit is drop-shipped to your house in less than a week. Also, Fat Cat has a good return policy in case you experience issues. Hope that helps!

I ended up getting a TAC2 from an outfit called Cartzone... beta testing can't be stressed enough. The controller kept kicking out an error code for high motor temp as soon as I put the key in, and acceleration was locked into a slower than smell setting. I got my hands on the dealer app, and after updating firmware with new beta stuff hoping to fix these bugs, my cart quit functioning altogether. No-go, and now the bluetooth won't hold a connection with my phone. Wish I had known about Fat Cat for the benefit of a return.
