Angry 1997 ezgo txt radio doesn’t receive signal

Hello, I installed a radio and speakers in my txt. I used a 36 volt to 12 volt reducer for the power. I have tried multiple antennas but I’m not picking up any stations. I’m wandering if anyone know what my problem is. I know it’s not the antennas because I’ve tried them in my pickup and they all work fine. Thanks for any help possible.

If it's not the antenna it's the radio. Check all your settings on the radio. I can't see anything on the cart interfering with FM signal.

it would be rare....but it could be defective right out of the box. I have never seen a radio with an antenna installed not pick up anything unless the radio was broke/defective.

Does anything indicate the radio is powered up? Any noise or pop when turned on? Any noise at all? Speakers OK?

Yes the radio makes noise it has static when on fm stations. Sounds great on Bluetooth.

The radio is getting power and the antenna and speakers are working. It might be the voltage reducer noise on the 12 volts playing tricks on the innards of the radio digital circuits. Read the instructions and fill out the warranty registration and give Kenwood a call.
