Question 36 to 48

looking for a little info,i have a 1999 ezgo with a 700 amp controller and a 6.1 hp motor,t-105 trojan batteries,heavy duty soleniod,wire set,f and r switch.is it worth going to 48 volts. if so what kind of speed we talking? cart will go 30 mph all day,does any one have a wiring diagram? what is needed? what about the charger?i think i know, but hell i hate making mistakes,please any info would be helpful.

If your cart will run 30mph all day, then I would leave it alone. most of them that are set up like that have less than 2 hours of pedal time.

If you insist on getting more speed:

1. Don't touch the wiring. The wiring is the same for 48 volts. (with the exeption of the controller install. Instructions should be included with the controller.)
2. Replace the solenoid with a 48 volt unit.
3. Replace each 6 volt battery with an 8 volt battery. (or add 2 more 6 volts to the bagwell. You will have more runtime with this configuration. Wiring is "similar" and not real hard.)
4. Replace the controller with one capable of 48 volts. (see #1)
5. Get a good 48 volt charger. A 48 volt cart charger will run anywhere from a used $100 to a NEW $600 unit. It all depends on how much money you want to spend.
6. The most important thing to remember. HAVE FUN!

Not Real Sure, Bought The Kit From Buggies Unlimited 2 Years Ago.would Have To Say 727 Amp--extreeme Heavy-duty 1204 Foot Print,years Ago You Use To Be Able To Buy The Kit From Bu,with The 6.1 Motor.
