Unhappy '97 EZ-GO Parked, charged, now won't rmove

HELP PLEASE!! I have a 1997 EZ-GO 36V Cart. Yesterday, I went on ride with my dog for about an hour. I came home, placed it on the charger for about 5 hours, and went out to ride it again last night - it wouldn't move. The headlights work, the reverse alarm sounds, and I hear the single click when I press the gas pedal. But it won't move in forward or reverse.

I am a single female, with no trailer- so I can't get it to a mechanic. Can someone PLEASE help me troubleshoot the issue? I don't know much about golf carts, but I am good with instructions if someone is willing to help.

Also - I have checked all the wire connections to the batteries and all other wires under the seat, they are fine. I have also tightened the 9/16 bolt behind the F/R switch

I'm not an EZ-GO guy. But, did this happen after you tightened that bolt?

Thanks Mooncarter for replying... No, it happened before I tightened the bolt, I tried tightening the bolt after reading some threads on here- but it didn't resolve the problem. I did nothing different than I normally do after riding... I just turned it off and plugged the charger in. Now, nothing.

I'm not the expert on these, but look at the wires going to the small switches on the forward/neutral, reverse switch (FNR) and make sure none are loose.

Good call Shriner, could not find that detail in the diagrams. Hope that's what it is.

Sounds like it after just coming off charger.
