Default 627420 installation instructions

Does anyone have a set of installation instructions for the rxv headlight harness? I have the kit, and the only papers that came with are the cut out templates. There’s a six pin connector that looks like it should plug into the computer, but I can’t find a spot for it. Also there are two batteries connections, which I assume should be 12v, but I’d rather know for certain.

Needs a DC/Dc converter not included in the kit (DPI or surepower plugs right in). The red & black wires get routed to controller side of cart. Black wire to battery pack B-. Red wire to switched side of solenoid (big connection from solenoid B+ to controller B+), red wire could also go to battery pack B+ if you wanted converter powered at all times.

The marketing material for this light kit says it can work with or without a dc-dc converter. So like an idiot I played around with it to figure out how to get it to work with out the converter. The service manuals apparently don’t have wiring diagrams for this harness.

There are two “pairs” of voltage inputs on the harness. A red/black pair and a green/striped black pair. The red/black pair needs 48v. The green/striped black needs 12v. For some reason, this harness (or something in my cart) has connected the solid and striped black grounds, so both black wires need to share a common ground. The battery 1 of the bank can feed power to the lights and the entire pack will switch the ignition relay on to activate the harness.

I’ll figure out which dc-dc converter to order so that one battery isn’t singled out, but for now, I needed to have turn signals to meet the new local laws this year.

Ok, glad you got it figured out. I have always used that setup just like a stock install with DC converter (where green and black are 12v wires near the DC converter, on isolated terminals). I have never seen install instructions for that kit either.

Do you have a part number for a specific converter that you like?
Is this one good? http://www.ase-supply.com/Sure_Power...p-41020c10.htm

It looks like it uses that connector.

I think with the converter, the green and black wires are outputs for additional accessories? Do you know if your 12v ground is isolated from your 48v ground? I don’t think they should be connected, and I’m wondering if I need to chase down another issue.
