1992 Marathon controller BAD?
I believe my old 26 year old controller is bad. New batteries read 38v, pot box test 0-5000 ohms, 5100 at full throttle to be exact. Between B- & M- only drops to 30v at full throttle, this should be reading 0V. I tore the motor down and inspected and cleaned the brushes. They were in excellent shape to be 26 years old. FNR switch has been taken apart inspected and cleaned. All contacts on the switch read around 5 ohms. All the cables have been replaced. The car has very little take of power. I can stop the car from taking off by putting my food down, but once it gets moving it will run up to full speed. Is there anything else I can do/test before buying a new Alltrax controller? Thanks!!!
