Default Wiring rcoker switches

Any suggestions on wiring rocker switches? I have a voltage reducer and in my previous cart ran my underbelly lights as well as LED headlight/taillight/horn kit off of it. On my new build I want to run a little more, sound bar, radio, underbelly lights and some other accessories. Anyone use a fused power block and/or relays? Lets see your setup!

I went with lighted push button switches, but rockers would be the same. I’m running switches for the reducer itself, headlights, stereo and dome light. The relay for the reducer is above the fuse block in that pic. Those other relays are for the 12v accessories. I don’t think you necessarily need relays with the right rockers. The switches I used were pricey, but weak, and I wasn’t confident that I wouldn’t burn them out, so I went ahead with the relays.

In the cart I built last fall, I did a similar set up as Orangeman, but used rockers switches.

Nuke, I followed that build you did (was it for your nephew?) but didn’t remember that panel/switch setup. That looks awesome.

OP, follow what Sir Nuke did. He’ll get you set up.

YEP that was my nephews cart I built him.....

YEP I found that switch set up at WIRING PRODUCTS .COM and they have available 2, 3, 4, and 5 switch plates with different switches AND you tell them what to call each switch....it was pretty neat and wasn't very expensive at all...especially considering a custom switch plate.

believe it or not....I found on ebay a guy that was selling 12" x 12" x 1/8" square sheet of Black Textured ABS that matched the texture nearly identical to the texture of the stock dash. the cost....$6. He has lots of different sizes available......and he actually has a ebay store.

Here is the 12 x 12. https://www.ebay.com/itm/ABS-Black-P...EAAOSwHUhaBSEh

Awesome! Thank you.

What did you use to cut it? What type of screws / caps are those?
Did you have to request the color LED switches? On their site its only one color.

To cut it, and make it VERY straight.....First I scribed lines for each side, then repeatedly, using my scribe, went over and over until I was about half way through, then carefully bent it over, them sanded it smooth. Those are just regular drywall screws....and I am sure I bought the little cap things at Lowe or Home Depot.

on their sight, you need to select "Toggle Switch Panel LED Illuminated" and within there you can pick the color you want EACH switch (Red, Green, Amber, or Blue)

Very nice!! Clean too. Can't beat good old fashioned toggles for all weather, DEPENDABLE current control. Got an [old] one running glow plugs on a diesel generator. Carries 50amps no prob.
