Lithium packs source
I keep checking EV battery center, but it still says they’re not able to supply any lithium packs at this time. Does anyone know if they have any sort of timeframe for being able to do so? Or, does anyone know of any other suppliers with similar prices and service? Everything else I’ve found on the net is quite a bit pricier.
My pack was due to be replaced last spring. I even ordered a 48v dpi and 8v battery cables from Scotty. About that same time, I started thinking more about lithium, so I held off on replacing. I’ve still got that stuff just sitting in the garage, but I’d rather go with lithium, if it makes sense. |

Re: Lithium packs source
I also want to go with lithium. The weight reduction and performance seems like a major benefit. But I cannot figure out how to do it. I have researched but just don’t know to much about my system or changing it to lithium system

If you search lithium on this site, you’ll find many great threads. If you see anything from pingeye, pay close attention. He seems to have put together multiple packs for guys at his golf cub. Also seems like has a bit of e engineering background. |

Re: Lithium packs source
Has anybody tried these people. Some have free shipping from China. The Chinese equivalent of Amazon.

Re: Lithium packs source
This would be a nice cell I think, 3.2v 100ah.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Rech...ceBeautifyAB=0 I am trying to understand all the issues with building up a pack and control. Great thread support here on BGW! It just seems to be still costly at this point at the cell cost level. I have not researched a lot of cells so I may be in the dark on this. This is $550 for four cells and would need 16 for 51.2V setup. So that's $2200 or $137.50 per cell. Can cells of 100ah be expected to drop soon or are cell prices stable for awhile? Is the supply limited at this point in the US making it costly and hard to find? |
