Default Speed Sensor removal

Ok so my cart started going really slow all the sudden and I done a little trouble shooting and I think it’s the speed sensor...I have an alltrax controller and in run no beeping when I push the cart.

I have wheel removed, snap ring removed, however the sensor will not budge. I would definitely break the wires before this thing moved. Any ideas short of taking the motor off??

Thanks in advance JB

I just get a small screwdriver out and punch a small hole in it. Then I just starting picking at it till I get it all out.

Spray some lube on it.... there may be some micro fine grit holding it in?

Have sprayed, wd-40 and pb blaster and let both sit for a while and it still ain’t moving. By the way Scottie, I sent you an email but basically just asking if you think this is the problem with the low speed.

If you have the new Alltrax XCT controller just open the toolkit and uncheck the enable speed limit box on the opening page. This will eliminate the speed sensor from the top speed equation... it's a great diagnostic tool. It literally takes longer to start the laptop than it takes to make the program change. As least on my old rig it does - lol

Absolutely considered that but couldn’t find my cable...( that I stole from my wife’s printer). Oh well it’s on jack stands now and it’s late here, I’ll go round up a cable tomorrow and do that and I assume you have what I need in stock if it’s in fact bad?

Mine was really stuck in there also. Ended up going after it with a sharp chisel! had to dig it out in pieces.

Thanks for the replies...I ended up drilling holes in and taking it out small pieces at a time. Once I had it out of the way I was staring a broke magnet. So I need a new sensor and magnet for a 36v pds. Any dealers here that have both in stock and can ship very fast??

One question for the gurus....I’m assuming there’s a washer glued to the magnet and that the washer gets fastened to the shaft with magnet facing out? Mine was all separated when I got in there but that’s what seems logical. Can’t find any pics or videos of this on the web.

Thanks in advance!!
