Battery charger wiring diagram

Everyone,
New to forum.... great info and seems like nice people are here. I am looking for the wiring diagram for a powerwise onboard battery charger. I am trying to fix a textron 36 volt ezgo. Thanks in advance, any help would be great..

I have seen the wiring diagram for the powerwise portable battery charger, I don't think it is the same as the onboard charger. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hello Frank_King and Welcome to the forum.

Even though they both do the same thing, the onboard will prpbably be a little different because it stays plugged in all the time.

A standard charger, when it is plugged into the batteries, turns the charger on by pulling the relay closed .

I "THINK", and thats normally when I get into trouble...... I think that the charger disables the ignition, so that the cart can not be driven off while the charger is plugged in.
any insight will help.

Look in the stickies at the top of the forum for the service manual. Might be in there.

Yes, thats what the "Reed Switch" does. It's in the charger recepticle on the cart side.......... On a standard charger.

i am having trouble taking the cover off the textron 36 volt charger. any suggestions

remove all the screws around the base. Pry a screwdriver in between the back and the base while tugging on the handle. It is kind of press fitted in the front... which can be a bear if it has a crease or dent .

It also helps if you remove the handle on the top of the charger sometimes...... Personally I just usually shake the cover off usually.
