2003 TXT RDS soleniod or?

Drug out my cart for the season and took it on Morel Mushroom patrol. While "putting" like this the cart would stop and no longer go forward until I let it sit so a few minutes. Then it will act fine for a while.
The batteries are charged and less than a year old. Load tested them and they are OK.
Is this a solenoid, controller or throttle control issue? I did look at the throttle control and cleaned the ITS and replaced the micro switch. I did notice the solenoid would get warm/hot. The controller seemed OK as well as cable connections.
Does the ITS go a "little bad"? or does it either work or not?
Ultimately I do want to replace the controller and solenoid from Scotty but I have a few stupid things like bills first.
Any input here?

Have never heard of a RDS model, what is that? Series? Sepex? They don't list an RDS in the official Ezgo parts system either.

It's just like a PDS model except the poster was multitasking when he typed it!

Controller doesn't like "putting around", and is going into limp mode. Or that's the most common problem I have encountered with your description. The larger tires backs up my thinking, stock controller is just about worthless for anything other than golf. This problem usually just gets worse and worse.

Hard to see those little mushrooms while cruising...
I can see I am going to have to change my style for that however.
