Ok - so I thought of something!!

Out of a need - as they say, all great ideas come from a need....

My overhead console finally broke, it was made for a car, not a golf cart - and certainly not a 40mph golf cart driving on a golf course... I tore it apart by hauling *** and going over sprinkler holes - through the woods - etc.

The console started cracking - then the plastic catch that kept it in the upright position snapped off. So I ripped it apart and salvaged what I could. Ended up taking out all of the electronics - (it had wireless headphone IR, FM radio, lights, constant 12v power supply line, overhead lights) All were cool, but unnecessary. Took the 'sleeve' off - removed the mechanisms to hold it to overhead and reinstalled on a mounted track so I can slide it where it needs to be as well as access box behind it.

In the 'glove box' I added a new 12v constant supply usb outlet to plug in the wifi router. Both the ipad and the router are on a constant charge - no worries about dead batteries when needed. Cart gets used daily so not concerned with battery drain

Check it out - it was fun!! And I think it looks pretty legit.

iPad install. Ended up changing out the metal bracket extender you see - looking for a part I came across the perfect piece - black with both holes on center. The one in the pick is a piece I cut off an 'L' bracket - worked, but the black one looks the part.

Using a wing nut below for easy removal / quick release - moving it side to side is a piece of cake - quick and easy - no tools needed.

Didn't take pics of wifi router - I mounted it with heavy duty hook and loop strips. Using a Verizon Jet Pack - it works great, but is NOT unlimited as they say - once 15 gigs is hit, they slow you down - and it sucks at that point. Songs stop playing - nothing runs right...

Neat idea to mount the iPad there. Looks really good.

Thanks Luke! I actually like it there better the the overhead mount, easier to use and I think it looks a bit cleaner

Bought a new Wetsounds Stealth 10 to replace my 6 - didn't know what to do with the 6 so decided to run both

Now have a 6 upfront - and the 10 in back - running sub off of the 6 in same position behind seat

The system sounds incredible and is an ear drum killer

Replaced lift kit, cart was purchased with a ‘rigged’ lift, 9” shackle lift on back springs with a 3” spindle lift up front - concept is 12” total gives a 6” lift. Problem was it sat in a ‘wheelie’ position that made me crazy, and the shackle on leaf springs gave a horrible ride.

Threw a 5” lift on and cart sits level and rises so much better.
